"Education is the most powerful weapon which   you can use to change the world". Nelson Mandela

The sessions are a mixture of free play and adult initiated activities, which are planned on a half term basis in line with our long term plan. We work on a themed approach to our programme. We may for example, spend a few weeks looking at animals or favourite stories, presenting activities that introduce different aspects each week, giving child and parent the opportunity to build on knowledge gained and to extend it into the home.

Whilst we tend to follow a set programme, it is flexible and will always reflect the individual needs of the children in our care. Each child has a key worker, who will be responsible for recording his/her developmental progress during their time at our pre-school. Staff are always happy to chat to parents at the end of a session - if more time is needed an appointment can be made.

We are currently open 4 days a week for 38 weeks a year. Each session runs for three hours. The session times are as follows:

Monday    09:00 - 12:00 / 12:00 – 15:00

Tuesday    09:00 - 12:00 / 12:00 – 15:00

Thursday  09:00 - 12:00 / 12:00 – 15:00

Friday        09:00 - 12:00 / 12:00 – 15:00

(Session times are subject to change based on the demand for spaces, to ensure financial viability of the pre-school.)

All day sessions are very popular as the children get to eat a packed lunch with their friends. (Those staying for lunch must provide a clearly named packed lunch which we keep in the fridge.)

We also offer a lunch club for those only staying for a morning session (additional charge applies). Your child can stay for an extra hour, from 12pm – 1pm and eat lunch with their friends. This is a good way to start acclimatising them to staying all day.

Ideally, children should attend at least two sessions over two days per week. This helps them to settle quicker and enables them time to form friendships.

For fees structure, please contact us. We accept government funding and are registered to accept payments using Childcare Vouchers.
